The Blood of Dawnwalker official trailer guide
A chronological guide to the reveal, gameplay, story, feature and launch trailers, with what each official video actually establishes.

The best single current trailer is the official Launch Trailer, but it is not the best video for learning the systems. New viewers should start with the cinematic reveal, then watch the Gameplay Overview series before the Story and Launch trailers. All videos below come from Dawnwalker, Bandai Namco, PlayStation or another verified publishing partner.

What the early cinematic trailer proves
The 2025 reveal establishes the official premise and visual identity: medieval Europe weakened by plague, Brencis’s vampire faction taking power, and Coen caught between human daylight and vampire night. Its brief gameplay shots show the intended perspective and tone, but they are not enough to prove final controls, performance or the complete quest structure.
Use this video for story orientation, not detailed buying conclusions. Cinematic editing can combine scenes from different routes and does not establish that every shown event appears in one playthrough.
Which videos show actual gameplay?
The three Gameplay Overview presentations are the strongest first-party evidence for mechanics. They show directional swordplay, vampire claws, supernatural movement, investigation, the hourglass-based time system and alternate approaches to objectives. The second overview is the most relevant companion to the day/night guide; the third is the clearest broad update on choices and progression.
IGN First’s separate eight-minute Deep Down quest footage is also useful because it keeps one sequence together. It shows exploration, examining an ancient mural, uncovering lore and loot, and fighting the Forgotten Guardian rather than jumping between unrelated highlights.
Story Trailer versus Launch Trailer
The Story Trailer adds context about the vampire court and Coen’s conflict, so it is better for viewers who already understand the basic premise. The Launch Trailer is a short summary of the finished pitch: Vale Sangora, Brencis, combat, choice and the September 3 release. It is ideal as a final overview, but its rapid montage cannot replace the longer gameplay demonstrations.
How official footage is treated
Reuploads, reaction videos and fan edits are excluded from the chronology even when their titles contain “official.” Media previews and reviews can provide useful testing evidence, but they are not official trailers. Upload dates can also differ by a day between regional Bandai Namco and PlayStation channels; the dates above use the primary English Dawnwalker or publisher release where available.
